Pre-Camp Materials
Part One (REQUIRED): Release Forms
Each student who attends the Beehive Forensics Institute must submit signed copies of the following forms prior to your first day of camp (please complete by July 5). Please complete these forms, scan them, and email them to us (forensics@utah.edu).
Part Two (OPTIONAL): Parking Permits
If your student will be bringing a vehicle to camp as a resident or commuter, you will need to secure a parking permit through University of Utah Commuter Services. Please note: Any student may not use the vehicle during instructional hours, i.e., it may only be used to arrive and depart from the institute each day. Violations of this policy will result in immediate dismissal from the institute.
The links below will assist you in securing a parking permit. The BEEHIVE FORENSICS INSTITUTE CANNOT ASSIST WITH PARKING RELATED QUESTIONS.
- Commuter Services Website
- Visitor Permit Purchases (select "Visitor Login").
Part Three: Arrival & Departure
Each day, students will report to the Language & Communication Building (LNCO) on the University of Utah Campus (map link). Check-in will be in LNCO 1110 (please enter the building from the west doors on the plaza between LNCO and the Gardner Commons building). Students should arrive between 8:45 and 9:00AM each morning to complete daily sign-in. Students will also be required to sign-out each day and may be picked up at the same location at approximately 7:00PM. Students wishing to check-out early or arrive late, as well as student who will be absent, must ensure their parent/guardian has notified the camp director prior to their absence, late arrival, or early check out. The BFI will contact parents in the event students fail to sign-in, sign-out, or attend a day of the institute.
